May business meeting at the Canton Social

We'll be having our monthly business meeting at the Canton Social (at 101 Plush Mill Rd, Wallingford, PA - Tuesday nights from 7pm until 9:30pm (or 11pm if it's the first Tuesday of the month)). We'll be going over the current form of the Canton's Charter, intending to finalize it and get it approved.
Anyone who wants a copy of the current form of the draft Charter, let me know.
"Upcoming activities list" removed from the right sidebar

Following some issues with the list of activities on the right-hand side of the screen, I've removed the list so as not to confuse anyone unduly. (It was listing things as starting an hour later than they actually were, or even a day later in some cases.)
The Canton calendar (which includes the Baronial calendar) is still available and is the most reliable source for recurring events in the area:

Nothing much on the radar; Stranger's Ball is not yet in the planning stages, but will be moving along starting in the next couple of months.
There is a vote of confidence coming up for Darmon & Sabine to continue as Baron and Baroness of Bhakail for another year. Anyone wishing to present an absentee ballot to be carried to the meeting by Lord Riocard Docair should bring copies of proof of membership, proof of residency and the ballot in a sealed envelope (we won't accept open envelopes) to the next Canton Social.

This past weekend, at Bhakail's Yule and 40th Anniversay, Dabid Docair was granted his Award of Arms for his efforts on the field, as Youth Champion and as a wrangler of other youth of the Barony.

Seeing the success of our recurring Tuesday night socials at Stage One (101 Plush Mill Rd, Wallingford, PA), we've been looking to add specific, planned activities to build upon what is a general-interest gathering and low-key social activity. We have more than enough space at Stage One to host multiple activities simultaneously, and have - more or less frequently - seen dancing, commedia rehearsals, music, fighting, youth fighting, sewing, spinning and even cooking.

The Canton will be recognizing a new officer as of our next business meeting - to be held 12/13 - since Lord Riocard Docair has stepped up to take on the office of Chatelain. We're very grateful for his willingness to do so, as it follows close on the news that Lord William Graham has stepped down as Minister of Arts & Sciences.
